The 8 Best Intent Data and Buying Signal Tools (2026)

For most B2B teams, Leadfeeder is the best place to start with buying signals: it has a free plan and shows which companies are on your site. UserGems is the strongest pick if past customers changing jobs drive your pipeline, 6sense fits enterprise ABM teams, and Bombora is the topic intent source many other tools build on. IntentSignal is a cold email agency, so we use and evaluate these tools every day. None of these companies paid to be listed, and every fact links to its source.

The 8 Best Intent Data and Buying Signal Tools (2026)

Quick answer: which intent data tool fits you

  • You want to see which companies are on your website this week, with a free plan to start: Leadfeeder (Dealfront). Paid plans start at EUR 79 a month billed annually, and it has the most G2 reviews of the self-serve tools here (4.3 from 860+).
  • Your best leads are past customers and champions who changed jobs: UserGems. It publishes its prices ($40,000 a year to start) and offers a money-back guarantee tied to closed-won revenue.
  • You're an enterprise marketing team running ABM across ads, web and sales: 6sense. It combines its own keyword intent with Bombora, G2 and TrustRadius signals. Pricing is a custom quote.
  • You need third-party topic intent to feed another system: Bombora. Its co-op tracks 25,300+ topics, and many other tools on this list resell or plug into it.
  • You want person-level signals (job changes, social and community activity, web visits) in one place, and you have a mid-market budget: Common Room, from $2,500 a month billed annually.
  • You want signals plus waterfall enrichment for a small outbound team on a small budget: SyncGTM, from $49 a month.
  • You already spend on LinkedIn ads and want account-level engagement from them: ZenABM, from $59 a month with a 37-day free trial.
  • You prospect mainly on LinkedIn and want the signals and the outreach in one seat: Valley, from $199 a seat a month ($149 billed quarterly).

How we ranked them

We ranked software only. IntentSignal is an agency, so we're not a numbered entry. We checked every price on the vendor's own pricing page and every rating on G2 in late October and early November 2026, and we scored each tool on six things:

  • Pricing transparency: is there a published price, or only a demo form?
  • What it does best: website visitors, third-party topic intent, job changes, LinkedIn engagement, or a mix.
  • Data quality: how the signal is captured (IP matching, publisher co-op, LinkedIn API, people data) and what reviewers say about accuracy.
  • Integrations: CRM, sales engagement and ad platforms it pushes signals into.
  • Ease of setup: self-serve trial, paid implementation, or a sales-led onboarding.
  • G2 reviews: rating and review count. A 5.0 from 6 reviews tells you less than a 4.2 from 1,500.

Two terms matter here. B2B intent data usually means evidence that an account is researching a topic, often from content consumption across many sites. B2B buying signals is the wider set: a new VP of Sales, a funding round, a hiring spike, a champion changing jobs, a visit to your pricing page. The tools below split along that line, and the right one depends on which signal actually predicts a deal for you.

Intent data tools compared

"Custom" means the vendor shows no price and asks you to talk to sales. G2 counts were checked in late October and early November 2026 and move weekly.

The 8 best intent data and buying signal tools

1. Leadfeeder (Dealfront): the easiest place to start

Leadfeeder, now part of Dealfront Group GmbH, tells you which companies visited your website even if nobody filled in a form. Its homepage describes an IP database fed by multiple sources, an Intent Score based on the pages a company reads, and ICP-fit filters. It also claims it can identify companies whose employees work remotely. Data is processed and stored in the EU, and it states it is GDPR compliant.

Pricing is public on its pricing page. Lite is free forever and shows the last 100 companies a month with 7 days of visitor history. Discover starts at EUR 79 a month billed annually (EUR 113 monthly) for up to 50 identified companies. Activate starts at EUR 369 a month billed annually for 1,000 companies and adds credits for contact data. Scale is annual only, from EUR 599 a month for 2,000 companies up to EUR 2,089 for 10,000. Every paid plan has unlimited users and a 14-day trial.

Best for: teams with real website traffic who want to call or email the accounts already looking at them. It connects to Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho, Slack, Zapier and Google Ads.

Watch-outs: website visits only tell you about accounts that already found you, so it won't widen your market. G2 reviewers raise data accuracy and limited contacts, and several negative reviews describe renewal and billing problems, so read the auto-renew terms before you pay annually.

G2: 4.3 out of 5 from more than 860 reviews, the deepest review base of any self-serve tool on this list.

2. UserGems: job changes turned into pipeline

UserGems tracks when people move: past buyers, champions and users who land at a new company, plus new hires at your accounts. Its homepage lists 30+ native signals including job changes, contact-level intent, website visits, M&A and hiring, and a research agent for custom signals. Signals show up inside Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Salesloft and Gong Engage, and audiences sync to LinkedIn, Meta and Google Ads.

UserGems is unusual at this price level because it publishes its prices. Core is $40,000 a year with 4,000,000 credits and coverage for 2,000 to 4,000 accounts. Advanced is $75,000 and Elite is $150,000; Elite adds contact-level intent and web deanonymization. Implementation is a one-time $3,000 to $10,000 by tier. Every plan has unlimited users and a money-back guarantee if you don't see ROI in closed-won revenue. Year one on Core is $43,000 before the optional $3,000 retroactive job-change backfill.

Best for: companies with a few years of closed-won customers and a healthy champion list, where a familiar face at a new account is the strongest signal you have.

Watch-outs: the floor is high for a seed or Series A team. G2 reviewers flag outdated information, slow updates and a harder setup than they expected. If your customer base is small, the job-change feed will be thin.

G2: 4.7 out of 5 from more than 160 reviews, the highest rating among tools here with 100+ reviews.

3. 6sense: the enterprise ABM platform

6sense matches anonymous research to accounts, mostly by IP, and scores which ones are in market. Its intent data page says most keyword intent comes from its own publisher network through a web tag, with ad metadata from its own demand-side platform as a secondary source. It fetches each page and runs NLP on it, and you can add unlimited keywords that go live within 24 hours. It also folds in signals from Bombora (12 topics included at no extra cost), G2, TrustRadius, SourceForge, PeerSpot and Informa TechTarget, though the non-Bombora partners need their own subscriptions.

There is no price on the 6sense pricing page. You build a custom package from three starting points (Revenue Marketing, Sales Intelligence, 6sense Intelligence) and add seats, credits, data packs or a Bombora topic pack. There is no free trial; new customers get a test environment during onboarding.

Best for: marketing teams with an ad budget and a RevOps owner who will run predictive scoring, ad audiences and sales alerts from one system.

Watch-outs: G2 reviewers often mention a steep learning curve, complex integrations and limited reporting, and one notes thinner intent data outside the US. You won't know the cost until you've been through a sales cycle.

G2: 4.2 out of 5 from more than 1,500 reviews for 6sense Revenue Marketing, the largest review count on this list.

4. Bombora: the topic intent data behind other tools

Bombora runs a data co-op of B2B publishers and websites. According to its Company Surge page, a proprietary JavaScript tag on member sites captures engagement with gated, paywalled and open content, and AI models turn that into intent across 25,300+ topics. Bombora says 86% of the co-op data is shared exclusively with it. Partners listed include The Trade Desk, Reddit, Adobe and Apollo, and both 6sense and Common Room bundle Bombora topics into their own plans.

Pricing is not public. The Bombora pricing page shows no plans and asks you to speak to an expert.

Best for: teams that already have an ABM platform, ad platform or data warehouse and want third-party research signals to feed it. If you only need a few topics, buying them through 6sense or Common Room may be cheaper than going direct.

Watch-outs: topic surges tell you an account is reading about a subject, not who is reading or why. G2 reviewers cite cost as a barrier for small firms and report companies misclassified by size and industry.

G2: 4.4 out of 5 from 157 reviews for Bombora Company Surge.

5. Common Room: person-level signals in one feed

Common Room pulls web visits, job changes, social and community engagement, and Bombora topics into one record per person and account, then runs alerts and workflows on top. Its pricing page lists 6, 12 or 25 Bombora Company Surge topics by tier, website deanonymization (1,000 a month on the lower tiers, unlimited on Enterprise) and job-change tracking, with product signals as an add-on.

Essential is $2,500 a month billed annually ($30,000 a year) for 5 seats and up to 100,000 contacts, with 5,000 AI research credits and 2,500 Prospector credits. Advanced (15 seats) and Enterprise (30 seats) are custom. No free trial is listed.

Best for: companies with an active community, open-source project or product-led motion, where the people engaging are often your next buyers.

Watch-outs: G2 reviewers mention a learning curve and slow support. Integration coverage is "select" on the two lower tiers, so confirm your CRM and sequencer are covered before signing an annual deal.

G2: 4.5 out of 5 from more than 140 reviews.

6. SyncGTM: signals and enrichment for small budgets

SyncGTM tracks account signals (headcount growth, job openings, product launches, funding, tech stack changes, website traffic) and contact signals (job changes, promotions, new executives, LinkedIn activity). Its homepage pairs those with a waterfall across 10+ data providers for work emails and mobile numbers, ICP scoring, AI research and drafted outreach. It syncs to HubSpot, Salesforce and Attio, and to Instantly, Smartlead and HeyReach. It also works inside Claude and ChatGPT through MCP.

Its pricing page starts at $49 a month (Solo, 1,000 credits, 2 seats), then $99 (Growth, 3,000 credits), $249 (Pro, 10,000 credits, 20 seats) and $649 (Business, 40,000 credits, unlimited seats). One work email costs 1 credit and one mobile number costs 12. Credits roll over, and yearly billing is 10% off. A free start is offered but the trial terms aren't spelled out.

Best for: a founder or one-to-three-person outbound team that wants signals and contact data in one tool feeding Instantly or Smartlead.

Watch-outs: there are no G2 reviews yet, so you're relying on the vendor's own claims about coverage. Signals like funding and hiring are widely available, so the edge comes from how you combine and act on them.

G2: listing found, 0 reviews as of November 2026.

7. ZenABM: account intent from your LinkedIn ads

ZenABM reads engagement with your LinkedIn ads straight from the LinkedIn API and maps it to companies, so you can see an account move from impressions to clicks to engagement. Its homepage contrasts this with reverse-IP lookups. It also launches and optimizes campaigns through an AI agent called Zena, and syncs to HubSpot, Salesforce and Attio, with webhooks and an API.

Pricing on its pricing page: Starter $59 a month (1 ABM campaign), Growth $159 (3 campaigns), Pro $399 (unlimited) and Agency $479. Annual billing gives two months free. There is a 37-day free trial, no setup fee, and it states no ad-spend markups.

Best for: B2B teams already spending on LinkedIn ads who want SDRs to follow up with the accounts that are warming up.

Watch-outs: the signal only covers accounts you're already advertising to, so it depends on your ad budget and targeting. G2 reviewers mention slow loading, an AI chat that isn't there yet, and no Pipedrive integration.

G2: 5.0 out of 5 from 6 reviews. A small sample, though one reviewer reported a 63% higher acceptance rate on DM campaigns aimed at engaged accounts.

8. Valley: LinkedIn outbound driven by signals

Valley finds and researches prospects, writes LinkedIn messages in your voice, runs follow-ups, and handles replies in a unified inbox, with drafts you can approve before they send. Its pricing page lists hiring signals, job change alerts, funding rounds, LinkedIn post engagers, profile viewers and competitor post engagers as triggers. Email can run in the same sequence.

Starter is $199 a seat a month ($149 billed quarterly) and is LinkedIn only. Plus is $299 ($249 quarterly) and adds 1,000 emails a month and waterfall enrichment from 15+ providers. Growth is $499 with $300 in extra monthly credits. Teams of five or more get custom pricing, and a done-for-you service is $1,499 a month. The 7-day trial needs a card.

Best for: founders and small sales teams who sell on LinkedIn and want the signal and the message in the same tool.

Watch-outs: it's an outreach tool with signals built in, not a source of intent data you can pipe elsewhere. G2 reviewers mention AI limitations, filtering, lead quality and cost. Per-seat pricing adds up: three Plus seats run $897 a month.

G2: 3.5 out of 5 from 3 reviews.

How to choose an intent data tool

Start with the signal that has actually come before your past deals, not the one that sounds most impressive. Pull your last 20 closed-won deals and ask what happened at each account in the 90 days before first contact.

  • If most deals came from someone who'd bought from you before, UserGems will pay back fastest, provided you can carry $43,000 in year one.
  • If buyers usually found you first, start with Leadfeeder. Activate at EUR 369 a month billed annually is about EUR 4,428 a year for 1,000 identified companies.
  • If your accounts are researching a category before they know vendors, you need topic intent: Bombora directly, or bundled in 6sense or Common Room.
  • If your outbound runs on events like hiring, funding or new executives, SyncGTM at $249 a month (about $2,988 a year on Pro) covers those signals plus the contact data.
  • If LinkedIn ads already drive your pipeline, ZenABM adds account warming for $159 to $399 a month.

Then work out what a better signal is worth to you. In our own sending, outreach built on strong account signals books about 1 meeting per 100 emails, while generic targeting is closer to 1 per 200 (see our cold email statistics). On 10,000 emails a month, that gap is roughly 50 extra meetings. A tool that gets you there earns its license; one that adds a dashboard nobody opens doesn't.

Last, check who will act on the signal. Every tool here surfaces accounts. None of them books the meeting. Without a rep or a sequence ready to fire within a day or two, a surge score goes stale.

When to hire an agency instead

If you're buying intent data so someone can write to those accounts, and nobody on your team has the time, an agency may be the better first buy. A cold email agency like IntentSignal brings its own signal research and AI agents that read what's happening at each account, write outreach around it, and book meetings onto your reps' calendars. Programs start at $2,999 a month, month to month, and you own every sending domain and mailbox we build.

That only makes sense if you sell to US B2B companies at $10K+ contract value and have reps to take the meetings. If you'd rather run it in house, pick a tool above. For a ranked list of agencies, see our guide to the best cold email agencies, or book a campaign plan call and we'll tell you honestly which route fits.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between intent data and buying signals?

Intent data usually means evidence that an account is researching a topic, often from content consumption across a publisher network (Bombora) or tracked keywords (6sense). Buying signals is the broader term and also covers events such as job changes, funding, hiring, new executives and visits to your own website.

Which intent data tool is cheapest?

Leadfeeder has a free plan that shows the last 100 companies visiting your site each month. Among paid tools, SyncGTM starts at $49 a month and ZenABM at $59 a month. 6sense and Bombora don't publish prices.

Is 6sense or Bombora better?

They do different jobs. Bombora sells third-party topic intent from its publisher co-op (25,300+ topics). 6sense is a full ABM platform that combines its own keyword intent with Bombora and review-site signals, and adds scoring, ads and sales alerts. 6sense includes 12 Bombora topics at no extra cost.

How much does UserGems cost?

UserGems publishes its prices: Core is $40,000 a year, Advanced $75,000 and Elite $150,000, plus a one-time implementation fee of $3,000 to $10,000. It offers a money-back guarantee if you don't see ROI in closed-won revenue.

Is Leadfeeder GDPR compliant?

Leadfeeder states that it is GDPR compliant and processes and stores all data within the EU. It identifies companies, not individual people, from website visits.

Do I need intent data for cold email?

No, but it helps. In our sending, outreach on strong account signals books about 1 meeting per 100 emails versus about 1 per 200 for generic targeting. The signal only pays off if someone acts on it within a day or two.
