WhatsApp Ads for Commercial HVAC Contractors
We run click-to-WhatsApp ads for commercial HVAC contractors, and we do one thing with them: book walkthroughs. There’s no form. The buyer taps the ad, a WhatsApp chat opens with your company, and someone on our team is in that chat within minutes, working it to a visit on your estimator’s calendar.
HVAC is one of the strongest fits for WhatsApp in B2B, because your buyers already run their day by text. Owner-operators of smaller property management companies, facilities managers at plants, restaurant operators with a rooftop unit that just died, and, in a lot of metros, immigrant-owned businesses where WhatsApp is the default channel. A form gets ignored on a job site. A message gets answered.
How it works for an HVAC contractor
The ad looks like any Facebook or Instagram ad, with a button that says “Send message.” Tapping it opens WhatsApp with a prefilled first message the buyer sends with one tap: “Hi, I saw the ad about rooftop units on my building, can someone take a look?” Someone on our team, in your WhatsApp Business account, replies within minutes, confirms the property, asks one question, and books the walkthrough. Threads that turn out to be homeowners, job seekers, or vendors get closed politely and don’t count.
The ad itself is built on a signal audience: owners and managers of buildings in your service area that just changed hands, got a permit, hired a facilities manager, or sat under a recorded storm path, refreshed every day. The storm audience is the best use of this channel in the trade: a hail path gets published, the ad goes to owners of buildings inside it with “we don’t know whether your roof units were hit, message us and we’ll look this week,” and property managers answer from the parking lot.
What the ad shows
Your estimator on camera, vertical, 15 seconds, one signal, ending with “message us and we’ll tell you what it’d cost.” Or a photo of the thing, a 2008 rooftop unit, with one line of text. And the prefilled first message. That is the most important copy on the campaign, because it has to be something a property manager would actually send.
What that looks like in a week
Hail comes through Tuesday afternoon. By Wednesday morning the recorded path is published, we’ve matched it against the commercial parcels in your radius, and the owners and managers of 180 buildings inside it are in a WhatsApp audience. Wednesday evening a property manager with four buildings on Industrial Parkway sees a 15-second video of your service manager: “Tuesday’s hail crossed Industrial Parkway. We don’t know whether your rooftop units were hit. Message us and we’ll look this week.” She taps, and the prefilled message sends: “Hi, I saw the ad about Tuesday’s hail, can someone look at 1400 Commerce?” Four minutes later someone on our team replies from your business account, confirms the address, and offers Thursday or Friday. She picks Thursday. Your estimator is on the roof Thursday morning with the property manager’s number and the building’s permit history.
A form on a landing page would have sat in her inbox until next week. The chat happened in the parking lot.
The follow-up is the channel
A WhatsApp message can’t wait until tomorrow morning. Someone on our team is in your business account during the hours your buyers are active, which for field-based owners means early morning and evening. First reply within minutes. Every morning we check yesterday’s booked walkthroughs against the target and fix whichever of audience, spend, creative and first message, or response time is off before today’s ads run. Response time is the one that’s usually wrong on programs other agencies ran.
What it costs
The management fee is priced per program, based on spend, audiences, and the hours of chat coverage your buyers need. We’ll give you the number on the fit call.
Ad spend is billed to your card by Meta. We don’t hold spend, there’s no markup, and the WhatsApp Business account is in your name.
Results
Those are software, logistics, and restaurant clients. We'll put a number from this channel here the first time a client in the category lets us use their name.
If you do commercial work in a metro where your buyers text, this is probably the best paid channel you have. Book the call and we'll pull last month's permits and storms for your area.
Book a 15-minute fit call
Tell us your trade mix, your service radius, and whether your buyers text. We'll tell you whether WhatsApp fits, what the fee would be at your spend and coverage hours, and whether Facebook would do more.

Questions people ask us
Do commercial property managers really use WhatsApp?
Owner-operators, facilities managers on the floor, restaurant operators, and immigrant-owned businesses do, every day. Corporate facilities departments mostly don’t, and for them we run Facebook and email.
Who answers the chats?
Someone on our team, in your WhatsApp Business account, during your buyers’ active hours. Not a bot. First reply within minutes, because a WhatsApp lead who waits an hour is gone.
Can our office manager answer instead?
If they can do it within minutes at 6:30am and 7pm. Most contractors let us handle the first reply and the booking and take over at the walkthrough.
Is it compliant?
Click-to-WhatsApp is opt-in: the buyer starts the conversation by tapping the ad. We never message phone lists cold, which would get the account banned.
