Staffing and Recruiting Agencies

Instagram Ads for Staffing Agencies: Clients, Not Candidates

We run Instagram ads for staffing firms, aimed at hiring managers with an open seat. We don’t run candidate ads. If that’s what you need, this isn’t the page. The audiences and the follow-up match our Facebook program for staffing; this page is about who’s on Instagram and what the ad looks like there.

Instagram is a workable channel for staffing, with a narrower audience than Facebook. Hiring managers at younger companies, founders doing their own hiring, and heads of people at startups are on it. A plant manager at a 40-year-old manufacturer mostly isn’t.

Who’s on Instagram, in hiring

Founders at companies under 100 people who are still doing their own hiring. Heads of people and talent leads at startups and agencies. Hiring managers under 40 in marketing, design, engineering, and sales. For an accounting-and-finance desk selling into manufacturers, the audience is thin; for a tech or creative desk selling into startups, it’s good.

What the ad has to look like, and what it can’t say

Your recruiter on camera, vertical, one signal, hook in the first second: “If your engineering role’s been up since spring, here’s what usually went wrong with the posting.” Or a real reply from a hiring manager, “yes, send them, when can they start,” name blurred, as a Story.

Nothing in the creative can read as a job advertisement, or Meta files it under employment and strips the targeting. No “now hiring,” no “apply,” no salary, no job title as a headline. Every ad is checked against that before it runs.

The audience and the follow-up

A signal audience of companies with roles open more than 45 days, postings spiking, a round or contract win, a new department head, or a recruiter leaving, matched by contact, domain, and the company’s Instagram account. Retargeting and a lookalike from your client list. Lead forms and a calendar page, tested. Our team calls every fill the same day, sorts the managers from the job seekers, and books the call with your BD lead. Spend adjusted every morning against yesterday’s booked calls.

What it costs

The management fee is priced per program, based on spend and how many audiences and creatives are in rotation. We’ll give you the number on the fit call.

Ad spend is billed to your card by Meta. We don’t hold spend, there’s no markup, and you can see every dollar in your own ad account. You don’t need to run our email to run this.

If your desks place into startups, run this next to Facebook. If they place into plants and warehouses, run Facebook first and we'll say so on the call.

Book a 15-minute fit call

Tell us your desks and your market. If you place into startups and younger companies, Instagram probably fits alongside Facebook. If you place into manufacturing and logistics, Facebook alone will do more.

Questions people ask us

Do you run candidate ads on Instagram?

No. Hiring managers only, to book sales calls. Candidate recruitment ads are a different service.

Which desks does Instagram work for?

Tech, creative, marketing, and sales desks selling into startups and younger companies. Accounting, industrial, and skilled trades desks are better served by Facebook.

What can’t the ad say?

Anything that reads as a job posting. Meta’s classifier files it under employment and the targeting collapses.

How much should we spend?

Around $2,000 to $4,000 a month for a single market. The audience is small and easy to overspend.
